Enrich, Entertain & Educate

Special Event!
Picture yourself strolling down the Champs-Élysées at the turn of the 20th century, taking in the sights and sounds of all Paris has to offer. At this time, the City of Light is arguably the most flourishing arts center in the world. Poets, painters, and composers are creating a spectrum of artistic innovation, stimulated by an atmosphere of scientific progress, international exhibitions, and cultural transformation. In association with Aspire’s production of Sunday in the Park with George, pianist Matthew Goodrich presents a concert of Parisian piano music from the time of Georges Seurat’s stunning masterpiece A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. Highlighting Paris-based composers hailing from France and Spain, who created the most innovative, influential piano textures in half a century, the program includes works of Chabrier, Ravel, Debussy, Albéniz, Granados, and more. Don't miss a rare opportunity to hear this dazzling collection of piano masterpieces!
Sunday in the Park with George
Inspired by the painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat, Sunday in the Park with George, Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's stunning masterpiece, merges past and present into beautiful, poignant truths about life, love and the creation of art. One of the most acclaimed musicals of our time, this moving study of the enigmatic painter, Georges Seurat, won a Pulitzer Prize and was nominated for an astounding ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
